Pastor Lloyd Donica, born and raised in Indiana, came to know Christ at an early age. After his second year of College, God called him to preach. Upon finishing college, God led him to South Carolina to serve as an assistant pastor, which also included serving as youth pastor and teaching in the church’s Christian school. Upon finishing his Master’s degree three years later, he served as senior pastor of a church in South Carolina. In 1980 he moved to Hampton, Virginia to serve as associate pastor and administrator of Bethel Baptist Church and principal of Bethel Christian School. Pastor Donica assumed the role of Co-Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in 2002 and then became Senior Pastor in 2005. His wife, Debbie, a native of Florence, South Carolina, has been involved in Christian education, teaching and administrating, since graduating from college. They have two grown children, Rebekah and Joey. Their daughter, Rebekah and her husband Wayne Root, live in Burlington, Massachusetts. Joey, their son, makes his home in New York City. Completing their family are three grandchildren; Collin, Lila, and Graham Root.

Pastor Steve has served as the Minister of Music for Bethel Baptist Church since 1999 and currently overseas adult ministries and special events. His desire is to serve His Savior and encourage our congregation through worship, discipleship and teaching. After a 20-year career as a U.S. Army musician in Colorado, Georgia, Germany, and Panama, God directed Steve and his family to settle here in Hampton where he began an after-school band program at Bethel Christian School and became a deacon at the church. He has Masters degrees in Music Performance and Cross-Cultural Studies, and was the first pastor of Bethel’s Hispanic Ministry. Steve's wife, Monica, is from Colombia, South America, and teaches Biology, Earth Sciences, and all levels of Spanish at Bethel Christian School. They have two grown children, Natalie and Nicolas, who live in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles.

Jorge Páez was born in Colombia and got saved at the age of 21 by the grace of God. He was a founding member of the first Hispanic Baptist ministry in Antigua & Barbuda, where he surrendered to serve the Lord full time. He met his wife Ivette in an Evangelistic campaign in Antigua & Barbuda where she was invited to help by playing the piano. She got saved at the age of 13, since then she has been serving in different areas, including the music ministry (as pianist and choir member) and teaching children in Sunday School, junior church and nursery. After serving two years as an evangelist to the Hispanic world, Jorge was called to serve the Lord as the Pastor of the Hispanic ministry at Bethel Baptist Church. “So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.” Nehemiah 8:8
